Nathaniel and Thelma StevensonNathaniel and Thelma Stevenson

Nathaniel Stevenson serves as one of the elders at The South English Street (Now Sharpe Road) Church of Christ in Greensboro, NC. He has been married to his wife, Thelma for 51 years. Through their union, the Lord blessed them with 2 wonderful sons, one deceased.  He retired from the United States Postal Service after 31 years of service as a mail mechanical inspector.  He comes from a family of elders, preachers and church workers.  Brother Stevenson has been a member at South English Street for over fifty years.  He has worked diligently in the area of education, transportation, finance and building maintenance.  He loves exhorting, reading and serving in God’s kingdom.

 

Junius “JC” and Daisy Williams

 
Junius Crawford “J.C.” Williams III was born in Tuskegee Institute, Alabama on July 11, 1937 to Junius and Macy Williams  Jr. He attended Florida A & M University on a basketball scholarship and graduated in 1959.  He then married his high school sweetheart Daisy Kennedy. He and Daisy decided to make Milton, Florida their home where they reared their three children, Juanda, Keith and Evelyn.   J.C. obeyed the gospel at the Susan Street Church of Christ in Milton, Fl and served as adult bible school teacher and treasurer. For 34 years he was employed by the Santa Rosa County School System, enjoying a successful and rewarding career as a coach, teacher, elementary principal and community leader. In addition to many honors, accolades, and awards, in 1990 J.C. was chosen Florida’s First Distinguished Black Educator. Today, J.C. and Daisy reside in Greensboro, NC and are members of the South English Street (Now Sharpe Road) Church of Christ.  In addition to serving as an elder, he enjoys teaching bible study and keeping in touch with his nine grandchildren.
