Grief Care Ministry

WELCOME TO THE GRIEF care MINISTRY

Loss changes everything, and the journey through it can feel overwhelming. Our Grief Care Ministry is here to offer comfort, hope, and support as you navigate this season. Rooted in the love of Jesus, we walk alongside those who are grieving, reminding them that they are never alone.

Through prayer, encouragement, and a community that listens with compassion, we create space for healing in God’s presence. Whether your grief is fresh or carried over time, we are here to support you with Christ’s unfailing love.

The 7 Stages of Grief

1. Shock & Denial – Feeling numb or in disbelief about the loss.

2. Pain & Guilt – Intense sorrow, regret, or guilt may arise.

3. Anger & Bargaining – Frustration and questioning, sometimes directed at oneself, others, or even God.

4. Depression, Reflection & Loneliness – A deep sense of sadness and withdrawal from others.

5. The Upward Turn – A shift where emotions become more manageable, and small moments of peace emerge.

6. Reconstruction & Working Through – Beginning to rebuild life and find new ways to move forward.

7. Acceptance & Hope – Finding a sense of peace, accepting the reality of the loss, and discovering hope for the future.

Grief is deeply personal, and not everyone experiences these stages in order or in the same way.

Sermon Highlights

Dr. Nick Glenn

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 7-10

Lesson: “Trying to Shake What Can’t Be Shook”

Luke 22:31-44 praying more earnestly, Jesus went to cross with an answered prayer – God sent Jesus an angel to give Him the strength to get through.

Sometimes the answer is not to remove or relieve us for a situation but to give us the strength to get through the thorn.

TALKING TO GOD: God, I know I have to release these emotions in order to heal. Help me to grieve honestly over the suffering and sorrow in my life and in this world, and then to seek, anticipate, and accept the comfort You have for me.
